Processing purposes
Van der Gucht collects and processes customers’ personal data for customer and order management purposes (e.g. customer administration, follow-up of orders/deliveries, invoicing, follow-up of solvency, sending marketing and personalised advertisement).
Legal basis(s) of the processing
Personal data will be processed on the basis of article 6.1.b. necessary for the execution of a contract, c. necessary to comply with a legal obligation, f. necessary for the protection of our legitimate interests in order to undertake the General Data Protection Regulation.
Transfer to third parties
If this is necessary for the realisation of the specified purposes, the customer’s personal data will be shared with any other partner (directly or indirectly) of Van der Gucht.
Van der Gucht guarantees that these recipients will take the necessary technical and organisational measures to protect the personal data.
Retention period
Personal data processed for customer management purposes will be kept for the period necessary to comply with legal requirements (e.g. in the field of accounting).
Right of access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection and portability of personal data
The customer has at all times the right to inspect his personal data and can have them corrected if they are incorrect or incomplete, have them removed, restrict their processing and object to the processing of personal data relating to him on the basis of Article 6.1 (f).
In addition, the customer has the right to obtain a copy (in a structured, accessible and machine-readable form) of his personal data and to have the personal data transferred to another company.

Direct marketing
The customer has the right to object, free of charge, to any processing of his personal data for the purpose of direct marketing.
Complaint
The Customer has the right to lodge a complaint with the Commission for the Protection of Privacy (rue du Peinture 35, 1000 Brussels – commission@privacycommission.be).
